how is this trade that bad? what am I missing? Dike is a really good player, but he's no shaq, MJ, Pippen, or elite player. His contract is mediocre and he's 30.
I guess I just don't get it.
Ward is solid, he plays behind Cassell for me, so his stats are not indicative of his play.

But Reid's contract is terrible...Ward and a late 1st isn't enough to give up Mutombo and take on a shitty contract...Like you said...Ward is solid, that's it

Mutumbo is an elite Center...>He may not provide the scoring that many do, but his defense and rebounding change games. he is the sixth best Center in the League in my mind, with an argument as high as 4th... His percentages are currently crap, leading me to believe that his scoring will pick up as his % match his career averages. There are not that many elite Centers out there, and based on Deke's career so far(remember that he was playing alongside scoring machine Arvydas Sabonis) He is worth alot more than Charlie Ward, who is a fine player yes, and a mediocre to crappy first.... not to mention Jake's trades never seem to make any sense whatsoever.
