Country:Lithuania Euro Team: Žalgiris Kaunas Age: 27 7'3 279 Pounds C Scout's Take: NBA GM's are like kids on Christmas day with a big present. Scout's can't believe the Soviet Union allowed "Saba" as they call this talent to come over and play in the US. Soviets are saying the Motherland wants to show the mighty US what true basketball is. Sabonis is a top 10 pick. Strengths: Can hit the outside jumper really well and has an amazing eye for the open man when he's posting up. Can also hit the running hook on a regular basis. Weakness: Is a tad turnover prone with his desire to have the added flair to his game. Also is starting to show some wear and tear in his knees. Slower then most centers so a quick center will dominate him. Ratings: B+ B- C+ B- C+ B

na, some people say he was the most dominate player to play the game. he came to the NBA at the end of his playing career and was probably a top 5 center on broken knees.........

Bill Walton called Sabonis the best player in the world. He was just chained down my the Soviet Union until he was like 35

Shouldn't he automatically go to the Blazers though since they held his rights? Just like if Joel Freeland were to come now Blazers automatically get him since they already drafted him

Well sucks for Blazers but works for me cause he will be a stud on a cheap 4 year rookie deal to whoever gets him

Tha BONE MAN! YES! I remember going to blazers games as like a 5 year old in the late 90's and watching the bone man vs shaq and shaq would just get every single call.

No offense but you probably never really saw him play...like boom said he got here at the end of his career and he was still great...I can only imagine what he was like when he was younger! I think those stats are a little low considering his age and his talent level...

Sabonis has been considered to be one of the best players of all time. Not just big men but, any position. He came to Portland over the hill and could hardly walk.
These ratings are really good, but also keep in mind he is 26 and has bad knees and thus his time in the C4QSim could be short...
Thats the risk you are taking.

So does this actually take into account if they're prone to injury. Will someone like Grant Hill be oft injured or Coleman decline quickly?
