its too early to judge that hes one of our "best presidents we've ever had" but also way way too early to call him bad. remember he's only been in office for 7 months now. people expected him and i think he probably expected as well to be able to get stuff done faster, but realized that big business and other problems slow everything down big time. I actually intern for a senator and have learned a ton about the stimulus and what Obama has been trying. Theres been a lot more shit done then the media covers. Hes done well

hows it false he's a thousand times better than bush he will eventually get us out of this economical bullshit. Honestly? Our country is in such bad shape, it might be until the next presidency (unless Obama is re-elected) until this shitfest is over with. Of course the market is stabilizing, and houses are being built again, but hundreds of thousands of people are still losing their jobs each MONTH. Unemployment is just about at an all time high and while I do think Obama is making the right steps, it's going to take lots of patience from the American people so Obama can do his job properly. But it is "change zombies" like you who will be the downfall of this road to recovery. Just because Obama said change a lot doesn't mean that things are going to turn around tomorrow. and when these "change zombies" find that out, they become restless and frustrated and most will call for Obama's head, creating much more controversy and add another front for Obama to battle on top of the education, housing, and overall economic collapse. That, sir, is how it is false.

hes already done a hundred more things to help improve this country than what bush ever did. well first off this statement says nothing. as good ol GW did not one single thing to help the country/anything good at all in office. O wait...he did do stuff. lets see. took the republican route and helped big business fuck everyone else in the ass and let the rich get richer and poor get poorer. also 2 meritless/unethical wars..had to finish daddy's business...reckless spending..build up huge deficit. great job. O and did i mention Katrina? As for Obama. People for some reason expected him to be able to come out and help immediatly. People didnt realize how bad bush and his cronies fucked us over. Obama has reached out to countless world leaders and tried to mend ties that were severed during the Bush administration. Passed amazing legislation regarding Stem Cell Research. Started the Withdrawal process from Iraq. Remained tough on NK and Iran, but also diplomatic (something every republican administration has failed at since Reagan). In the Process of passing HUGE HUGE health care reform..much needed. MOST IMPORTANTLY Obama has gained respect and admiration from other countries and their leaders. He has bridged gaps that were created. Instead of having the good ol' Texas dont fuck with us attitude...Obama thinks about stuff before he does it.. Its a strange concept but a good one. As for the economy because it seems people only care about money...not healthcare or stem cell or any important issue. Lets not forget bush started the recovery plan business. Obama does support it tho. The wealthy bitch about taxes and yada yada yada...but they've had it good the last 8 years so its about time they paid their dues. For some reason clueless reason people (republicans) expect that Obama would either fix it right away, or they are going to throw him under the bus. Talking to the economist in the senators office at which i work it is so blatantly clear and was just as clear when Obama got elected that this is not a quick fix. We are still looking at 2-3 years. This got kinda long, but watching ignorant people just keep posting..i had to say something.

The president has very little control/effect on the economy. I haven't seen anyone throw Obama "under the buss" in this thread.

no one has in this thread but just overall...have you ever watched fox news? its like a comedy channel to me but they do it all the time if you take it seriously. and thats exactly my point. the president can do a lot to fuck up the economy, but not a ton to help it that has to come from the people.

The republicans didn't screw the country over with the economy, it was the democrats and ACORN with their demands for subprime lending. Banks were forced to give loans to people who shouldn't have got one and in terms, couldn't pay the payments. The banks are now out a lot of money and have to foreclose on houses.
Obama stood up the NK? Yes because reducing missile defense spending right after NK launched a missile is being firm on NK. Basically telling them to do whatever they want because we nor the UN won't do anything.
Healthcare reform was needed? Not at the cost of several trillion dollars. It will nit be 1.5 trillion like is being said. In the future it will likely be several hundred trillion dollars.
Obama got elected on the belief he could fix the economy right away. Now it will take 2-3 years? What happens if he doesn't fix it by re-election? Should he get another 4 years? I don't think so.
Why should the rich have to pay ridiculous amounts of taxes? Because they work hard and put in long hours? That makes sense. Yes you had to work an 80 hour work week, now fork over 50% of your income. Make a fair tax. If the rich buy a big boat, they will pay more taxes. Simple as that.
