Centers
Michael Olowakandi- B- D D B B- A
Some say this kid is the next big thing. Others question his work ethic and wonder if he will ever live up to his potential. One thing is clear, Kandi is C4Q ready at this moment and even if he doesnt improve much the rest of his career, he will always be a serviceable player.
Adonal Foyle C+ D- C- B B C
A player who knows his role. Solid defense and quick positioning for rebounds. A very smart player who doesnt try and exceed his limitations on the offensive end. Could turn into a starting center sometime in his career. A safe pick for a solid center.
Tony Battie C+ D C- B- C+ A
Coming off his best year at Texas Tech, Battie is ready to make a splash in the league. Very strong in the post and will get a rebound if it depends on who jumps highest. Needs to work on boxing out. Also needs work on his offensive game to ever become more than a 6th man.
Others: Scot Pollard, Kelvin Cato
Power Forwards
Tim Duncan B- C- C- B+ B+ A
Scouts say he is a sure fire #1 pick. He brings a little bit of everything to the table. A stellar post presence out of the block on the defensive end. An above average shot blocker. Can hit a jumpshot but prefers to position himself down low where he can make his size an advantage. Very high basketball I.Q.
Others:Austin Croshere, Danny Fortson
Small Forwards
Tim Thomas C+ B- C C+ C+ A
R-A-W. Coming out of Villanova is the explosive Tim Thomas. If he's in the right situation he should flourish. The right situation is being a starter to him. Thomas is ready to contribute now and benching him his first season or two may hurt this kids ego.
Ron Mercer B C C + C+ C A
Purely a scorer at this time. Tries to do too much by himself and does more harm than good alot of the time. But when he is on he is lights out. Could be good for him if he finds himself in a more established environment.
Tracy McGrady B- B- C+ B- C+ A
Deciding to skip the college thang. McGrady is on his way to C4Q, challenging Tim Duncan as the #1 pick. Some think a recent back injury may be a setback but McGrady says he is fine and it shouldnt ever be an issue again. He has impressed scouts in private workouts showing glimpses of a player that could turn around a franchise. So young and so talented. It should be fun watching this young mans career.
Keith Van Horn B- B C- C C+ A
A savvy offensive guy who can drive to the lane or drain the three ball. Doesn't excel at much else and seems to get lost at times on the defensive end. Still should put up numbers in the teens for most of his career.
Shooting Guards
Rodrick Rhodes B B+ C C- C+ B
Another dynamic player on the offensive end who can't play a lick of D. If a team can hide his defensive "ability" he could be a very nice starter. Put up alot of points in college but also gave up alot to the dismay of USC fans.
Derek Anderson C+ B- C+ C+ C A
A great leader in the locker room. Very athletic. Turns it over a bit too much.Still focuses more on offense than D. Could go either way but scouts like his work ethic.
Others-Charles O'Bannon, Damon Jones,Tariq Abdul Wahad
Point Guards
Chauncey Billups C+ B B- B+ C A
Great at using his size against smaller defenders. Very vocal and a perfect floor general. Will drain the three if left open. Needs to work on his passing to keep up with the speed of the C4Q.
God Shamgod C+ C B+ C+ C B
He has god not once but twice in his name. So he has to be good.....or could he be a sham? How about a name change to God Shamwow?
Has tip top handles. A good facilitator on offense. Needs to work on everything else.
Jason Williams C B- A- C C- A
He has the passing skills. But does he have the desire to better the rest of his game? He will be good, but if the heart is there he could be great.
Others-Brevin Knight,Bobby Jackson,Antonio Daniels
