Strengths: Very tough and savvy basketball player. Smart with the ball, doesn't over play his abilities, good outside shooter. Commanding feel for the offense and defense allowing himself to be a floor general.
Weakness: Scout's are unsure if he can turn into a starting point guard in the league. Will need to improve his inside scoring and also improve his 3 point shot a tad. Defense could use work. Won't get many rebounds.
Scout's Take: NBA Scout's were glad to see this Heisman winner not get drafted in the 1993 NFL 1st Round and thus allowing Ward to skip football and go to basketball. His overall athletic ability will keep him around for a while. Might not be a starter for every team but could work his way into a starting role if given the proper training.
