Warriors agree, didn't get too many offers for Hardaway that pleased me, this one came the closest...had to get that contract off my hands if I was rebuilding, just wished I'd have gotten better offers for him.
To make this possible, cut:

Why would golden state do this? Is is because of the expiring contracts? this does not make sense to me. Hardaway is what is keeping the warriors afloat

At this point, the recent flood of new offers would keep me from accepting right away. At this point in time, I will decline
I resigned Hardaway thinking I would have a shot - as of last sim, this is now a .500 team looking to see the playoffs - that's not good enough for me.
I have some great young pieces but I would never be able to build around them through FA (I signed Hardaway and had Mullin already and this isn't good enough). The only way to build a solid squad for the future is to dissect and hopefully get some good prospects through the draft to build on - so yes, I'm blowing the team up to improve my own picks (the only ones I can expect to hopefully be lotto) while acquiring others. Shooting for 96-98 because most of the teams that want what I'm offering are contending - looking at teams like the Knicks, Bulls, Suns, etc. there's no room for mediocre teams like mine right now to compete.
