Welcome to the first ever C4Q roundtable. This year's participants are: donatello2424, ducksball, Gregspechtismyhero, quackattack, duckancover, lukeyrid13, briarduck, pudgejeff, tmaczdaddy(dd10snoop28)
1. In your opinion, who is the best team and why?
Donatello2424: The Suns. Anytime your starting lineup has 2 A+, 2 A, and 1 A- defenders your team is going to be great.
Ducksball: The Suns are by far the best team. With the top five averaging, 21,24,12,11,15 ppg, it is hard to lose. These guys are so well rounded and are new impossible to beat. Also. They are absoultey killer on defense.
Gregspechtismyhero: I would have to say the Suns. They have been the best from the start. They consistently destroy teams, and have the most powerful offense in the league. When I look at their roster, I don't see too many teams who can get in their way of a title this year. The other amazing thing is how they are doing it with high-paid players who don't play. (Shakleford, Chambers, Sanders) They also have the Cavs first round pick this year, which could turn out to be a pretty high pick depending on how the lotto goes. With a good FA draft, this team could really become a dynasty for 3-4 years.
Quackattack: Phoenix Suns, their record is the obvious reason, but if you look at their roster closely, you'll see a very tenacious defensive team with a great 1-2 offensive punch down low. Dan Majerle adds an outside shooting threat, while Kevin Johnson handles the point and brings an offensive game with multiple facets. Terrell Brandon, Corie Blount, and Oliver Miller provide sparks off the bench to keep the pressure on the opponent. Its hard to find weaknesses in this team as we head toward the playoffs.
Duckancover: Best Team/Phoenix Suns
With KJ and Barkley with Coleman and 8 A's in rebounding you can't beat that right now. Coleman is averaging 21/10, Barkley 24/11 and KJ averaging 15 with 8 assists, making this trio a part of a team of 5 averaging double figures. The Suns seem to be in line for the championship.
Better get it now with all the aging players on this team. Suns got some steals in trades. With 3 large contracts on players, I see some buyouts in the Suns future. Like I said he better get the trophy this year.
Lukeyrid13: think that the Phoenix Suns are the clearly the best team in the league right now and for the future. They have solid veteran players in Barkley, KJ and Majerle to go along with very good young talent in Coleman and Brandon. Add on top of that the fact that they have added in 1st rounders from the Cavs and Blazers the next 2 years and they will add even more depth and young talent to what is already the leagues best team.
Briarduck: Best team is the Phoenix Suns, have a well balanced lineup, a good bench and a great mix of youth and veteran leadership. To have a title contender you need to have strong PG play and a top notch front court to even think about competing back that up with an inside outside game and now you have something special.
Pudgejeff: The best team this year is the Phoenix Suns. Reason: They grew into a power house over the offseason...Coleman and Barkley are dominant, Majerle, Dumas and KJ all got better. Added AC green and Corie Blount. Oliver Miller is no slouch. They're built around defense and inside play. And they take good care of the ball. Chicago got bigger with DRob but traded away Jordan and continue to make weird trades.
tmaczdaddy(dd10snoop28): Not even close now that the Bulls have started to rebuild, Suns.
I mean, look at all their defenders to start out with all I see is:
A+
A
A
B+
A-
A
A+
That is just scary.
And their offense is just as good, everyone can score on their team.
Kevin Johnson/Dan Majerle would be scoring 20+ points on any other team, but they are limited to only 12 and 15 on this stacked team. No other team even comes close to the Suns.
2. Who is the worse team and why?
Donatello2424: The Pistons. Mashburn is solid but the rest of their team is bad. Their pg is around the 3 assist to 2 to mark which is bad. They have some picks in the future and hopefully they can turn this team around.
Ducksball: Worst team is Pistons. easy. While i think they have a very bright future, this year they are flat out-the worst team.
Gregspechtismyhero: The Cavs have really screwed the pooch on this one. With -21.5 mill in cap space, they won't be able to sign anyone who can help them out. You might argue that they have 2 first round picks this year, and three next year...but look at the teams who they belonged to: Celtics, Bulls, 76ers. All of those teams look to make a serious playoff push, and they won't be very valuable picks. They might be able to get a surprise or two, but they don't get any serious relief from their cap for another 3-4 years.
Quackattack: When your 3rd option is Mark Aguirre, you know your team is lacking on talent. With only 10 wins, Detroit should be in a great spot for winning the draft lottery. Poor rebounding, outside shooting, and ball handlers doesn't leave Piston fans much to root for these days.
Duckancover: Worst Team/Detroit Pistons
Wow, at 10-54 this team is struggling and why?? Too much activity and not enough stability. Not that I condone activity but come on do you need to make so many trades and just because your team went 1-4 in 5 games. I mean is there anybody left of the original team he started with?? Right now he has Mashburn. Maybe Causwell whom he got from me is the next best.
What to do? Well he is in a deep hole, it's time to build, build, build around Mash, keep Causwell too. But it looks like 94' is still going to be rough. Wait till 95' and their 4 first rounders then maybe the Pistons and get the ball in the hoop.
Lukeryrid13: Detroit takes the cake for worst team this season. They have a bright future with Mashburn and already holding 4 1st rounders next year to go along with most likely the #1 pick this year(Chris Webber) and they will be a very young very good team in just a few seasons.
Briarduck: The worst team in the league is the Detroit Pistons, they have at best one great young player in Jamal Mashburn and one decent center in Duane Causwell the rest of the lineup is poor defensively, have no chemistry and have poor balance, it like they don’t want to win at all…On the positive front they have a ton of expiring contracts and lots of money to spend as well as one of the top picks in the draft which they will need to turn this thing around.
Pudgejeff: Cleveland's the worst team. Detroit has the worst team as of right now but they have a direction and a goal in sight. Cleveland has no direction, no future, no goal. They just seem like they're trying to mess things up.
tmaczdaddy(dd10snoop28): Obviously either the Grizz or Raptors...
Who is GMing those teams, and how the hell did they not get a top pick last year? WTF
At least they both have their picks, but wow they are both real bad.
5 wins each, that's why. lol
3. Which team is in the worse shape for its future? Why?
Donatello2424: The bucks. Other teams have a lot of picks in the future, but not the bucks. They only have their own. They don’t have a star on their team, just a bunch of average/below average players. Their PG, who does have A+ handles, turns it over a lot and shoots at a bad percentage.
Ducksball: The Cavs are in the worst position for the future being -21 milli in cap space. Despite them having 3 first rounds in 95, only one of those is quality. The atrocious cap deficit is limiting their ability to do work greatly.
Gregspechtismyhero: Same answer as 2
Quackattack: I've got to go with the Milwaukee Bucks. They're close to being the worse team in the league right now, and although they have some young players, most of them are just not that talented. But the main reason I chose the Bucks with a dim future is because of their contract situation. Sure, they have cap space, but they have no expiring contracts. I don't see a lot of extra draft picks that have been obtained either. All in all, I see a bad team that has yet to do much rebuilding. But its never to late to start.
Duckancover: Team with worst shape for the future?/Cleveland Cavs
First of all 21 million over the cap, has 8 contracts over 10 million and only a little over 2 million in expiring for 94'. Good team with Price, Lewis, Maxwell and Perdue leading the way. But really needs to cut cap room and in 95' there will be over 20 million in expirings But by then the Cavs will have 5 first and 1 second rounder to sign. So good luck Cavs in the future and maybe you can pass some of those draft picks to me, lol.
Lukerid13: Cleveland is easily the worst team in my opinion. They may not have the worst record but they have traded a number of their picks and their young talent and have an older core. They do not have cap space available at all in the near future and no assets to trade for either picks or talent.
Briarduck: The team is in the worse shape for its future is Cleveland Cavaliers. They went from contender to a team with little hope in one year. They have a number of bad long term contracts with players not playing up to their potentials and the players that are aren’t getting any younger. On top of that, they are also way over the CAP so they have some work to do. Their short term 3-5 years doesn’t look to promising we will just have to wait and see how they do over the next few years.
Pudgejeff: Cleveland. It's not even close. They're terrible and have no way of getting better anytime soon.
tmaczdaddy(dd10snoop28): Cavs, I really didn't like the deal they made with mops.
They gave up their 1st and Brandon for some young un-proven players.
They have 3 1st's this year, but all our late 1st's.
They also have a lot of bad contracts, I don't see them getting out of this one for a while.
4. Which team has the best core of young players? Why are they the best?
Donaello2424: Not to be a homer or anything but the Sonics. Kemp is 23, Payton is 25, and Kukoc is 24. Kemp is one of the top big men in the league, probably the 2nd best pf in the west. Payton is probably the best pg in the league, and kukoc is the steal of the draft last season and is a multi-tool player.
Ducksball: The Warriors have the best nucelus of young players. I'm going out on a limb on this one and know that this is a little risky, but with Sprewell and Houston, decent PG Keith Jennings, and Victor Alexander at Center. There is a strong nucleus for this team in the future.
Gregspechtismyhero: When you look at teams with the best core of young players, you can't choose anyone but the Seattle Supersonics. With such talent as Sean Kemp (26.1 ppg and 10 rpg) Toni Kukoc (15.8 ppg, 6.4 rpg, and .776 from behind the line) and Gary Payton (21.9 ppg, 9.6 apg, and .839 from behind the line) The Sonics have all of the talent they need to set up an incredible team in the future. But, of course, this isn't going to come without an obstacle. As I'm sure you all know, Gary Payton's contract is up this year, and if the Sonics can't manage to re-sign him, he could be a HUGE FA out there for the highest bidder.
quackattack: This was a tough one but I went with the Miami Heat over the Charlotte Hornets and Boston Celtics. The Heat's addition of Dee Brown to go along with Steve Smith, Bruce Bowen, Robert Horry and Terry Mills give them 5 quality young players who deserve to see quality minutes. Throw in Graham and Wilson with their potential and you've got 7 players under the age of 26 who could be a part of your team for a very long time.
Duckancover: Which team has the best core of young players? Why are they the best?/ME, the Kings
Well just take a look for yourself, I have 4 A potentials and 6 B potentials on the roster. Outside shooting of at least a B for 8 players. Richmond and Grant are my eldest player at 28.
Getting Longley in a trade was a good addition to the mix. With the addition of Bobby Hurley at 15 points and over 6 assists a game and Piggott, Walters and Dehere long range shooting abilities, I can now sit at watch these young players develop into a fine group of players.
Lukeyrid13: The Denver Nuggets are already a top 3 team in the West and almost all their top players are still on their rookie deals. Sabonis, Mutombo and Ellis form arguable the best frontcourt in the league and then having 3 very talented young guards in Jackson, Rauf and Pack to distribute with Glen Rice popping threes and they will only get better.
Briarduck: Wow this was a little harder to figure out until I looked at Seattle Supersonics lineup, Gary Payton, Shawn Kemp and Toni Kukoc! Every team seemed to have two good to great young guys but three noway…nice balance of young guys too…PG, a versatile SG/SF, PF…VERY NICE!
Pudgejeff: There's a couple few that are all close. You have Charlotte, Indiana, Denver and Seattle. Seattle is probably gonna let Benjamin walk but with Kemp, Payton, Kucoc and Williams they're set. Denver has all there youngin's locked up except Rauf, but they have his bird years and enough room under the hard cap to keep him and thats a scary team. Indiana got Pooh for so cheap in the off-season, Reggie and Dale Davis are studs and Smits and Muresan down low will be great defensively in the future against the interior built teams. And Charlotte, Zo, LJ, Mugsy, Avery, and Gill man they are gonna be good.
tmaczdaddy(dd10snoop28): I really hate to say myself, but me.
Sabonis/Mutumbo/Ellis/Rice, and all under 28.
Another team that is really looking nice for the future are the Sonics.
Payton/Kemp is the best duo in the league by far, and they are both under 26!!!! Scary duo for now and for the future.
5. If you could have any player in the league, who would it be and why?
Donatello2424: Shaq. He would be sick next to Kemp. Shaq does it all. He is a beastly scorer and rebounder who can block shots. Plus he is still very young.
Ducksball: I would want to have Nick Van Exel. Already a stud, the future looks incredibly bright for him. He better wear shades. (bad joke). Sure to be a stud in this league, there is no one i would want more, as he is the player whom a team can build around. Distributing PG who can light it up.
Gregspechtismyhero: If I could have any player in this league, it would be Shaq. I don't think anyone else would disagree. When you put up 31 ppg, bring in 14.5 rpg, and shoot .643 from behind the line as a sophomore in the league, it's easy to see his bright future. I can't think of anyone I'd rather build my team around, and the Magic have done a wonderful job so far.
Quackattack: I have to take my own player here, Shaquille O'Neal. My reasoning is that I would have no idea where the Orlando Magic would be without him. My entire roster from day 1 is gone except for Shaq. Only his second year in the league and he's been so dominant, my job as a GM is just to build around him. Hopefully i'm not letting the big guy down.
Duckancover: If you could have any player in the league, who would it be and why?Shaq
Why, did you say why? Duh! it's only obvious who wouldn't want a monster like Shaq. At 21 years of age and A(Inside) D+ C- A(Def) A(Reb) B(Pot)
Averaging 30/15 so far in the season you can't beat that kind of talent. Shooting at over 51% from the floor and dominating on the inside. I maybe able to find a flaw in Shaqs ball skills but as long as you throw down low to the big man he will find the hole no matter where the Assist comes from.
Look out Magic when Shaq's rookie contract is up I'm sure the money will be his for the taking no matter who ends up with him. Orlando just hopes he stays a member of the Magic.
Lukeyrid13: If I had one player this year it would be Karl Malone but no doubt is Shaq the most valuable player to have. He is one of the 5 best players in the league right now in only his 2nd year and will be an absolute monster for the next 15 years. Multiple championships and MVP awards await him.
Briarduck: If I could have any player in the league it would be Shaquille O'Neal. It’s an easy answer, a very young dominate franchise center with near unlimited potential. These types of players don’t come around too often…
Pudgejeff: Shaq by a landslide. The way you win in this is in the middle and he's young, dominant, still got 3 years left on his contract and isn't greedy so his second contract won't be overly expensive.
tmaczdaddy(dd10snoop28): Shaq, hard to find a 7-1 300lbs player who can giveb you 30ppg/14rpg/2bpg night in and night out.
Only 21, he has a good 15 years ahead of him.
I really don't think that 10 MVP's is a stretch for this guy.
Any1 that wouldn't want him is out of his mind.
6. East or West, which one is better? Why?
Donatello2424: The West. They have malone, Stockton, kemp, dream, Jordan, payton, rice, dike, and the suns.
Ducksball: East is better this year. Knicks, Bulls, and Magic are three of my favorite team this year and i really like their direction. Look for Magic to make run in playoffs
Gregspechtismyhero: This year started out a little slow for both conferences, but now that teams are starting to find their style, it has become much more competitive. I'm going to have to say that the Western conference is better, because of its depth. When I look at each conference, the thing that stands out is that the seeds 7-11 are separated by 2 games. It really shows that, at any point, a team could go on a run and find themselves in position to head to the postseason.
Quackattack: At the bottom of the East, you've got Detroit, Milwaukee, and Washington to go along with Toronto. Thats four almost gimme games. I'd give the edge to to the East on the middle of the pack teams, not by a longshot, but Boston, Charlotte, Indiana, Philly are tough matchups for even the top seeds in the East. But because the West has the #1 team now, Phoenix, and last year's champion, Utah, i'm giving them the edge overall.
Duckancover: East or West, which one is better? Why?/ West is Best
Number one, the Kings are in the West. All kidding aside, the West is stacked with great teams including the Suns who I think will win it all in 93'. You have 7 teams within 3 games of each other. There seems to be movement in the playoff positioning almost daily.
I am looking forward to being in contention with some of these power houses of the West in the near future.
Lukeyrid13: The West has much better talent and depth then the East. Two of the "worst" teams in the west are the Warriors and Spurs who have Chris Mullin and Michael Jordan anchoring their teams. If a team led by MJ can't make the playoffs you know that the conference is absolutely stacked. The East also has the Pistons, Bullets and Bucks which really brings down the Conference.
Briarduck: At first glance the West I would have figured to be stronger the East seems to have the better over all conference and they have Detroit. I like, the balance and with a few of the recent trades from late last year till now I give the edge to the East…a few examples David Robinson, Clyde Drexler, Patrick Ewing, Nick Anderson and Shaquille O'Neal
Pudgejeff: West. They're deeper and they have the best team. If you have the defending champion and the favorite for this year you're the better conference.
tmaczdaddy(dd10snoop28): East, their first 6 teams are much better then the west's first 6 teams.
The West will probably come out of the year with the champion, but the East is much more deap the the west.
The Heat(#8 seed in the west), look like a great team but they are fighting for a playoff spot in the East, in the West I think it would be a much different story
7. What type of player (such as a defensive/rebound big man, true pg, defensive stud on the wing) would you most like to see on your team? Why?
Donatello2424: A defensive/rebounding big man. If you had a guy who was a A+ defender with A+ rebounding numbers, he could have F offense for all I care. He would be sick. 4 bpg with around 15 rpg and an anchor to your team inside is great.
Ducksball: I would most like to see a true PG. Someone who can hit the deep ball, but with sick handles, so he can deliver the rock to the big men, Stanley and Manning. His presence would be invaluable to my team.
Gregspechtismyhero: I've always loved a good, physical center. Nothing intimidates the opposing team like a 7 footer who knows how to use every pound in his body to manipulate the man who is guarding him. I loved having Rony on my team last year, he was a huge part of my team, and I wish I could've had another year or two with him. That's why I'll always be a Garnett guy over Gasol. Garnett plays with heart, intensity, and knows how to intimidate the players who guard him. I can't wait until he enters the league.
Quackattack: I love this question because its how I built my team to where it is. Shaq was handed to me for the defensive and rebounding big man, but I acquired Dee Brown first, Rod Strickland later and my intentions were getting a PG thats great in handling and defense. Both guys are A+'s in each category. Finally, I added Clyde Drexler and Sarunas Marciulionis as stud defenders on the perimeter. But if I had to get rid of all of them but one in regards to the position, I think I'd keep the big inside presence (whether it was Shaq or another player). I've seen solid teams that were missing that inside presence and when you face teams that have it, how can you stop it?
Duckancover: I would love to see a big man, like Chris Webber, in the PF/C spot this would round out my 5 starters. I need a powerful inside scorer with rebounding capabilities.
All I can say is bring the Draft on baby!
Lukeyrid13: In general I think the most important piece to building a team is a quality big. Inside scoring is key so they can get some close easy buckets and most big men that can score also are great rebounders and the combination is what can lead a team. After that PG play is the most important having someone with good handles that can distribute to all the players on the team.
Briarduck: A top Notch PG, they run the offense, control the team and orchestrate the game.
Pudgejeff: Scoring/Defensive/passing big man(Shaq/Hakeem). They create an open up so much for everyone else and not only play help defense penetrator's but also shut down the other center.
tmaczdaddy(dd10snoop28): Scottie Pippen, what can't he do?
He can guard the PG/SG/SF/PF and do it very well.
League leader in steals, and has a lot of length to top away passes and make it really hard for opposing teams. Nearly averages a block per game also. Just a defensive stud
8. If you had the number 1 pick in this draft, who would you take (saying everyone declared) and why?
Donatello2424: Grant Hill. I don’t really need a pf or a pg, so no webber or kidd. Grant would be sick alongside Kukoc as my wings. Defense and can score, sign me up.
Ducksball: I would take Jason Kidd, as he is absolutley sick with the ball in his hands and is someone who i could build my young nucelus of players around. Give him a little bit of an outside shot and he is number one PG in the league in the future.
Gregspechtismyhero: Although I am a guy who loves his big, powerful centers, Jason Kidd looks to be the best player coming out of this draft. (if he declares) His ability to create offense and collapse the defense is uncanny. He will be a great choice for anybody who is looking to rebuild, because Jason makes everyone around him better, and will be a prime player whichever year he comes out.
Quackattack: Chris Webber, not only because he's the best option available with his skill set and potential, but because you draft for needs, and my biggest need is at PF.
Duckancover: Lol, I guess I answered this question in the last one, but Webber or McDyess would do, both have a B on the Inside and B's for Defense and Rebounding. I would take any one of these two for my Big Board Presence.
Lukeyrid13: Chris Webber is the #1 pick this year. Big men are the key and he is already a superstar, not just a star but a superstar and will only get better. Jason Kidd, Grant Hill and Glenn Robinson are stars but Chris Webber is a sure fire Hall of Famer
Briarduck: Chris Webber. A franchise PF/C that plays great D and can guard a number of positions, shoot from all areas, high basketball IQ (minus one TO at MICH), is an excellent passer and you can run your offense through him.
Pudgejeff: Penny Hardaway. He's my favorite player. And he can play and defend all three wing positions well. At the 3 he'll be just like Pippen.
tmaczdaddy(dd10snoop28): In my situation, I would take Hardaway.
Just because I have no SG right now, and his scoring is out of this world.
C-Webb would proabably go #1 for any other team, but I have too many big men right now.
9. Which draft year are you most looking forward to and why?
Donatello2424: 1996 should be nice. If everyone comes out who is suppose to, then you could have a nice balance of positions. Need a big man? Camby is there. Need some nice wings? Ray allen and kobe. Need a pg? marbury and nash
Ducksball: I am looking forward to the 2002 draft (way ahead) because of Yao, who i think will destroy this league, a healthy Jay Williams. Mike Dunleavy (who went to my high school) will be great. Drew Gooden will be incredibly solid, and Tshkitischivilli (sp?) will progress nicely in this league, much better than in real life.
Gregspechtismyhero: Well, it's tough to say because it's up to mops who comes out when, but as I was doing some research, 96 should be the deepest draft yet. Players like Allen Iverson, Marcus Camby, Stephon Marbury, Ray Allen, Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, and Ben Wallace enter in this year. Of course, Kobe comes out of HS, Marbury is a Freshman, and Camby and Allen are Juniors. I think that the entrance of these players into the league will do great things and make it much more exciting.
Quackattack: 1996. I still own my 1st round pick in that draft while I've trade each of the others away within the next 5 years. But with Allen Iverson, Steve Nash, Ray Allen, Kobe Bryant, and Stephon Marbury, the guards look superb. The big men aren't too bad either, led by Marcus Camby.
Duckancover: I am looking forward to the 94' draft and getting Webber or McDyess. Having on of these guys on my team will round out my starting five and 4 draft picks this year I am ready to settle into a winning team.
Lukeryrid13: I am looking forward to the 95 draft because I should have 2 lotto picks as well as 3 2nd rounders that I can move around and add a lot of pieces to my team whether I keep all those picks or trade them. Talent wise this upcoming draft(94) appears to be very very top heavy with some real strong players entering the league.
Briarduck: 1996 draft is loaded with talent if everyone declares including a few HS players. This draft should have a few franchise type players in it.
Pudgejeff: ‘94 baby. That's why I'm loaded up with picks. Gotta get my boy Penny
tmaczdaddy(dd10snoop28): Hard to tell right now, but I think that the 96 draft could be something special, seems like all the good players are coming out around that time.
2003 could be nice too. LeBron/Melo/Wade/Bosh. WOW
10. What makes this league great? What would you change it if you could?
Donatello2424: A good simmer and good draft files are always great. I think bringing in more active members would be solid. Not just people who post dc’s but people who write articles and post a little more.
Ducksball: I like this league because everyone is fairly active, and trades can get done in a reasonable amount of time. I think making the cap rules more clear and basic and simming more often would make this league even better.
Gregspechtismyhero: I absolutely love this league. It has been very exciting to see all of the old school players, and be able to control your own team. This is my first sim league, and I really appreciate all of the more experience guys helping me out and showing me the ropes. I think that I've set myself up to succeed in the future, and hope to win a title while I'm here.
Thanks for reading and good luck to all of you,
Quackattack: This has been my first SIM league, but I've always been a fan of GM type roles, such as dynasty modes in video games. There's an addiction that I have, and that others in this league seem to share that makes all that is done, enjoyable. I think everyone would want 27 active managers trying their best, no matter what their strategy, so the competition is always great. We seem to have a good number of active managers, but we could always shoot for more.
Duckancover: I was all for this last year but I know unseen circumstances caused it to fail. I was disappointed even though I had the Clippers who was Elton Brand and that was all. I like the feeling of being a member of a game that at least 80% of the players are participating with some regularity. Although I wish we could get that number up to 100%. I admit I have played in other fantasy games on the web but they get boring unless you are in the top 3 and then the rest of the players do not log in for the remainder of the season.
I would like to see all teams with active members last throughout the entire game but I know sometimes that's asking a lot. I would like to see more smarter trading from members. I know it's just a fun thing and no money is changing hands but in order for all of us to have a fair chance at this we should be thinking about how we trade and more important who?
Thanks to all who are keeping up with all this simming and whatnot. I will be one of those players who will be around a long time. I am looking forward to more games and the Kings are looking for the title!
Lukeyrid13: This league is great because it allows people that would most certainly never have the opportunity to run a pro franchise a glimpse at what life behind the scenes for an NBA team is really like. Every team needs a direction, whether it be the win now approach or stocking up picks and the work that is done to put the team together is similar to that of watching your child grow. These are teams that you built up and their success is your success. That is the greatest part of this league. I would change that this league doesn't have a chat feature which would work perfectly for things like the Draft because all teams could be in one place and it'd be much more active. I would also make all GM's more active.
Briarduck: I wouldn’t say great yet just good. We need more active bunch of GMs to make it great, certainly fun and personally will be a lot better once my team gets put together. If I could change anything, I would add a chat feature that would be nice and More active set of GMs…
Pudgejeff: Most of the people in the league being Duck fans makes it great to me. This is my 2nd sim league as I was in the now defunct original C4Q sim league and sim's are just fun, way addicting. If we could get 5 or 6 replacements for the non-active GM's that'd be great as most of us are very active. An assistant commish would be cool so he could do some little helping stuff to help out MOPS. And if there was a way to see the actual numbers of the players attributes instead of just the letter grades of the whole thing like vision, handling, 3 pt shooting, etc...
tmaczdaddy(dd10snoop28): Eh, it's not that great. JK
Mops does a tremendous job and really does a better job of keeping everyone active, so hates off the moppy-boy.
I would change... um
I really don't know, maybe more sims. Not really.
Some of the GM's really have to pick it up, there have a been a lot of slacking GM's. We need some new faces IMO.
