But he didn't play better....NVE was second team ALL-LEAGUE....as A ROOKIE....and he's still 5 years younger than Sabis......Nick put up better numbers, whether or not it was due to him playing more or not is irrelevant.....The award is for the player that is the best as a rookie, and generally that will go to a starter over a sixth man....Sabonis was very deserving of the Sixth Man award though
