Ok, well I thought about this for awhile and I don't think I am going to allow the Mavs to simply buy him out.
This is what we will do.
This will be a buy-out/trade/bidding war.
I think a team should be able to buy out anyone, but it has it's limits. Nique is still a damn good player for a few years.
Since the Mavs don't want him this is what we will do. I will cut his contract down to 65% of what each year is. He still will be under contract for 6 years.
Teams have to send me a trade offer for him. Contracts won't have to match but the chances of getting him go up if you can match contracts and even higher with expiring.
You have 48 hours to bid.

Didn't see we have to make a trade.That sucks when I have all reasonable contracts and technically Nique should be mine right now for nothing.

The buyout rules should be amended to avoid situations like this. GM's should learn to use their cap cpace more wisely and not offer ridiculous contracts to players they don't intend to use long-term. they just rob other teams of the opportunity of having the services of players such as Nique.
