Ok, we will be adding two new teams into the league. We will be holding a true expansion draft. You are allowed to protect up to 8 players on your roster.
The players after your top 8 will need to be posted in this thread. AFter that the Grizz and Raps will flip a coin to decide who goes first in picking and it will be a snake selection. Each team will draft a minimum of 8 10 players. Leaving them with 2 picks, and 3 more open spots.
A team may only take 2 players max from one team.

What if a player is an expiring. Should we still protect them?

What if a player is an expiring. Should we still protect them? If he is expiring, no. He goes into the FA list and the Grizz and Raps will need to bid on them just like everyone else. 2 players per team. Please just post the players you wish to enter the draft pool. I don't need to know the players you protect.

It means there's no point cause he'll be a FA and not on your roster...unless he resigns by himself maybe?...but they have to be in during the season so I don't know?

Someone correct me if I am wrong.
The only people eligible to be drafted in the expansion draft are people who (as of right now) will be on our team next season. This means that if someone is expiring this year, they are not eligible to be drafted and, as a result, do not need to be protected.
Then your roster of people who will be on your team next year, you can protect up to 8. You cna protect 5 if you want but no more than 8.
You then make a list of those guys you do not want to protect.
